India in Black and White

January 22, 2013

It has been my privilege to visit India on numerous occasions as I am involved in humanitarian work there. The nation of India is vastly different than Australia, and it has taken a number of years to get a little grasp about their culture. With a population a little over 1.2 billion, people are everywhere...

One day, I decided to grab my camera and capture people where they were at...I walked the streets and captured these amazing people at their shop fronts, or just on the side of the road. I love photographing people and I love black and white photography; I hope you like this little 'snippet' of the faces of India...

This man was a beggar on the side of the road...I remember coming back to Australia after the first time I visited India, and I began selling some gear as material things seemed a lot more insignificant in my life - materially, we are incredibly blessed here!

It doesn't get any more raw than this...
